Apply for the personality development camp “Step by Step: How to be the BEST of the BEST”

Riga Technical University Career Center together with student organization “BEST-Riga” invites you to apply for summer camp “Step by Step: How to be the BEST of the BEST”, that will take place from 18th to 20th of September.

During these 3 days participants will have the opportunity to take part in various personal skill trainings, meet company representatives from leading companies in industry and have a discussion with them, improve English language level and communication skills and meet other RTU students.

Trainings will include topics like creative thinking methods, teamwork, presentation skills, creative methods of leadership, project management and others will be held by internationally recognized trainers of BEST.

All participants will have the opportunity to participate in various sport and free-time activities, which are going to help improve their communication. Also,  participants will be challenged to test their knowledge gained during camp in a case study about real life problems which companies face in work environment.

BEST (Board of European Students of Technology) is a constantly growing non-profit and non-political organisation. 93 Local BEST Groups (LBGs) in 34 countries are creating a growing, well organised, powerful, young and innovative student network. Best-Riga is the local Best group in Latvia and it operates within RTU, representing all nine faculties.

RTU Career Center was founded in 2007 with the following objectives: to promote cooperation and communication between higher education institutions, students, employers and RTU graduates, helping young people to integrate into the labor market and build professional career.

The camp is held in English.

Atklāta pieteikšanās Rīgas Tehniskās universitātes Karjeras centra un studentu organizācijas “BEST-Riga” organizētai nometnei “Step by Step: How to be the BEST of the BEST”, kas norisināsies no 18. līdz 20. septembrim.

Šo trīs dienu laikā dalībniekiem būs iespējams apmeklēt personīgo prasmju treniņus, iepazīt dažādus pazīstamus uzņēmumus un piedalīties diskusijās ar tiem, pilnveidot savas angļu valodas un komunikācijas prasmes, kā arī iepazīties ar cietiem RTU studentiem.

Nometnes laikā dalībniekiem būs piedāvāts apgūt tādas prasmes kā radošas domāšanas metodes, līdera prasmes, komandas darbs, prezentācijas prasme, projektu vadība un plānošana u.c. Nodarbības interaktīvā un jauniešiem saistošā veidā pasniegs organizācijas BEST starptautiski atzīti treneri.

Dalībniekiem būs iespēja piedalīties dažādās sporta un saliedēšanās aktivitātēs, kas ļaus uzlabot studentu komunikāciju un saliedēt tos.  Nometnē ir paredzēti arī situācijas analīzes uzdevumi, kuros studentiem būs iespēja izmantot savas zināšanas un prasmes, lai risinātu ikdienā sastopamas problēmsituācijas darba vidē.

BEST-Riga ir lokālā BEST grupa Latvijā, kas darbojas Rīgas Tehniskās universitātes ietvaros, pārstāvot visas 9 fakultātes.

RTU Karjeras centrs dibināts 2007. gadā ar mērķiem veicināt sadarbību un komunikāciju starp augstskolu, studentiem, darba devējiem un RTU absolventiem kā arī palīdzēt jauniešiem integrēties darba tirgū un veidot profesionālo karjeru.

Nometne norisināsies angļu valodā.
